TOOLBOX 10

As a start, in this toolbox journey I experienced myriad of things and challenged myself in a better way. There were times where I felt like I was stuck and can’t go more creative but as I continue to push my limits more I realised that every little struggle was not that big of a deal and just let my overthinking get on my way. For instance, the most challenging part of the toolbox for me was interviewing with people on the street. Because, I thought every occasion that I had to interact with people for a project actives my social anxiety which is not exactly real and just my overthinking stops me from my best. Even though, how much the interview part of the project was the most scary one, I got used to it pretty fast and get over with it way faster than I thought. On the other side, I felt the most excitement when I was creating my product which is full body jewellery. It is basically a self-defence piece due to the sharp shape of it which I inspired by Shoreditch’s graffitis and architecture. Speaking of Shoreditch, I had a really quality time in there while I was exploring the area with my friends. Because we were doing what we like, exploring and going around the town. Therefore, it really motivated us to do more with it because the task was our hobby, so we didn’t got bored of doing any of that. As a result, I always try to do my best if I’m actually doing what I’m interested for, and that what I was exactly doing, my passion. That’s probably the first reason why I didn’t struggled with toolbox that much. Even with the people that I was interviewing with. My costumer that I inspired for my piece was really friendly and let me get to know her in detail. Thanks to her I got so much information and idea to create my product. I used her vibe in colours as my colour scheme which is a very dark themed, and for the shape of it I inspired by the graffitis on the walls of Shoredtich. On top of that, there is one more backstory of my product which is violence towards women. Because in my country, there are so many women violence that government doesn’t care about. Due to that tragedy, I wanted to create my piece as a self-defence jewellery and named it Revenge. The sharpness of the jewellery can use it as a weapon to protect their bodies from abusers. Moreover, in my product you can clearly see the connection between my costumer and the research that I made. Plus, I do feel like my outcome does shows the needs of my consumers. Because the piece itself wants courage and confidence to be worn. Also, it has a dark themed which represents my costumer and lastly it brings out the divine feminine energy which every female would want in them the most. Consequently, to improve my final product I would definitely gave myself more time to think about the piece that I was going to create because mine was so last minute. However, I am truly so satisfied with the outcome and proud of myself that I can be able create such a good piece with a meaningful story with it.
