In this session I learned how to be on time for quick, creative and detailed work. We supposed to design three different types of item we made in the previous session. My piece was a full body jewellery, and the piece is really detailed and takes long time to draw the same thing. Due to that issue, I was slightly nervous to not be able to finish them on time. Because, when I started the first sheet which I was drawing the whole jewellery in water colours, took a lot of time to even make it the half way. It was looking so great and professional on my case but if I was continue to keep drawing that I wouldn’t be able to finish the other two design’s . While I was colouring my first sheet, the teacher came up to me and gave a challenge for me to complete the second one as a collage without using any pen, because she knows how much I love using pen and pencil on my drawings. To be honest, that push button that she pushed me to was really thoughtful because I was already getting sleepy and disconnected from the fun part of the class then she immediately gave me challenge and my creativity came out again. Besides, taking a break from the first drawing and starting to a different one felt really relieved because I had a time limit and needed to start to other drawings. On top of that, the one i drew with the help of my teacher’s push button become my favourite one so far. I wasn’t putting extreme effort to that drawing, just feel free to do what I wanted to do with the scratches and came out with excellent collage. After finishing the collage, I continued with the first drawing and finished them too, then started to last collage which I had really fun making it. On the other hand, when I felt stuck to draw something or create a new piece, my emergency call is asking friends about their opinions about my main design. For instance, what can they tell about it or what is this reminding to them. Second one is, start draw something until you get an idea about what you going to make. Because this is art, and the ideas won’t show themselves without any effort. Ultimately, what I’m traying to say is always fake it until you make it. Eventually you will find something great to create with only your own ideas.
