TOOLBOX 6

In this session we learned how to create a customer segment and analysed our interviews even more. I realise that clear communication plays a really big role to get to know who are you interviewing with. Because when I analysed my customers I decided to do an interview with them based on their looks but when I starting asking direct questions about their clothes I realised that their budget on fashion is much more different than what I thought. Then, I started asking them questions about their personal lives and got to know them even more. Their stories are really unexpected when I only made assumptions just by their looks. Therefore, I can easily say that the most important detail to communicate is never judge a book by its cover because the information you will get from them will make you shocked due to judgement and not communicating clearly. On top of that, for each person I talked to, I tried to discover as many information as I can possibly do beyond requirements to understand their personalities even more. The best way to accomplish this is being polite and always smiling while asking questions, and never stop a person who is in a rush. Mostly, none of them rejected me and talked to me more than I needed. Generally, everything went well while I was interviewing with them because I tried not to create an interview environment and just gave them compliments about their looks and keep asking about their interest. The one thing that could’ve went better was, people I choose. There were way more stylish people that I saw on the street but I was a bit shy to do an interview with them because I thought they could reject me and I was scared of rejection. Therefore, I didn’t tried to do an interview with them. Next time, I’ll be more confident and won’t let any barriers keep me away from what I’m going to do.
