TOOLBOX 4

As a start, I had really quality time in the class generally. Analysing and designing a collaborative trainer sketches were really enjoyable to do. Even, imagining to do a collaboration with the brand we analysed their past years designs, and the idea of our collaboration trainer designs will sell in the Dover Street Market.
First of all, while we were analysing a designers collection I used to generally take a quick look of the whole outfit and judge by the whole look. Didn’t even take a look of the detailed items and the materials of the fabrics. In contrast, after this class, I learned how to analyse a collection in a proper way. First, take a detailed look of the items one by one and think about the themes, the idea behind it, materials that are used for the fabrics, etc. On top of that, never forget about the accessories. Accessories are always a must in every look because, it pops up the whole look. Gives it a more deep definition and takes it to a next level. If the accessories won’t match the outfit then there will be a contrast and looks a bit chaotic even the look is simple or not. On the other hand, if the accessories are not noticeable for the avant-garde look then what’s the point of wearing them. I think that accessories are important as much as the clothing because it is fashion and everything is compatible if you know how to do it properly. For instance, when designing a shoe, it must be a comfortable and flattering for the eyes as well, but if there is too many accessories on the shoe for example; Gucci’s last years sneaker collection, it basically won’t be acceptable by many people because it is overwhelming to even look at it.

Consequently, my personal limitations when designing a sneaker is know how to mix both contrast idea into one wearable design and know how to use accessories on the limit
